Symbol of my daughter's contribution to Heifer InternationalApr 17, 2011

This past Christmas, we were surprised and pleased to hear our daughter tell us that instead of our getting her a present, she wanted us to make a contribution to Heifer International, a group that supports the propagation of sustainable food-animal-based micro-economies in developing countries. We gave Heifer a goat in her name.
Not being able to resist getting her a present anyway, we started looking for a suitable plush toy to commemorate her social consciousness. When we came across this wonderfully expressive little nanny, we were sold. Our daughter has a six-foot giraffe from this same company, and the quality and realism are amazing, even down to the long eyelashes. These plush toys will be heirlooms to be passed down.
By the way, our daughter named her plush goat Charity.
