My daughter's face lit up like a Christmas Tree when I opened the box and showed her the monkey inside. It's the most adorable little thing. He's very soft, very sweet. He's the same monkey from those ATT commercials where the Dad goes off on a business trip and his daughter has put her toy monkey in his briefcase, and then he takes pictures of the monkey at different sites on his travels.
I fell in love with him in the commercial and all over again after he arrived. He's fabulous and I'm so glad I found him!

This monkey was much smaller than expected, even after looking at the size, I didn't realize how small it is. The body isn't very big at all even the width of it. I gave it 3 stars because I really thought it looks cuter in the picture than in person. Maybe I'm judging too much on an adult level because my 8 1/2 yr old who loves monkey's does like to sleep with it and bring it overnight when she sleeps over someones house. It does seem very well made but I think all douglas stuffed animals are, my other daughter has quite a few of the douglas dogs, which are so adorable.

I was given this monkey as a gag gift a few years ago, and after my baby daughter arrived, I let her play with it... She is now 1 yr. old and it is her FAVORITE toy! She brings it everywhere, sleeps with it, and in the mornings we hear her playing with it, making monkey noises! I plan on getting a 2nd one as a "back-up"! It's very well-made, and so soft and snuggly; no wonder it's her favorite!
UPDATE: Still a favorite, and my daughter is now 2.5! We were blessed with a second daughter since my last review, and one of her favorite toys is -- you guessed it -- the Douglas bongo monkey. What is it about this toy? It really has the sweetest face and as I said before, is so soft... I think the key is that it's the perfect size for small shildren. My youngest often just holds him and gazes into his face, smiling and laughing... it's the sweetest thing! I'm on here now to buy one for her to have as her very own...

Yes, this is a relatively small sized monkey, but I love how it's machine washable. My daughter loves this little monkey and takes it everywhere. It is durable and has lasted several washes. I would recommend this for little ones that like monkeys.

I too have been misled by this company. The monkey that arrived for my grandchild is not the monkey I ordered. This is a total misrepresentation of the product being sold and as far as I am concerned false advertising.
The monkey that arrived for my grandchild is a 10 inch bean bag not 11 inches as stated in the description. It is a completely different monkey than the one shown in the picture. I also feel misled by not getting the smaller monkeys advertised in the picture which is the only reason I chose this monkey.
I am very disappointed that AMAZON would continue to do business with this company. I no longer feel comfortable ordering anything through AMAZON and will take my business elsewhere.
