This item, Flopsie the River Otter, was a special gift for one of our guests. It was a real hit when we presented it at a potluck. There is a long story connected to it about a real river otter stealing his salmon. It seemed to be very well made & would make a very nice stuffed toy for children. Everyone was saying how realistic it looked.

This toy is just the epitome of adorable. It is very soft and huggable. My only gripes with it is the fur tends to come off... but it's only one or two strands, so nothing detrimental for a plushie. It's not a completely accurate representation, that being the kink in the tail, but otherwise very life-like.

Red keeps a lookout for our otter family. He came with a sour expression so I ripped out his mouth and stitched on a smile. His feet are too big and floppy. No real self respecting otter would have a curl at the end of his tail. However, Red is soft and cuddly and his posture says, "I will look out for everyone".
